Bob Wallace

Executive Director

Fortunately, I’ve been able to see the work in the various fields, with one exception, prior to the pandemic and know the work is vitally important to reaching people for Christ. Certainly 2020 has been a challenging year. But in the midst of the chaos, I believe God is working, and I set a goal of three, or possibly more, new missionary teams being trained and ready to go to the field throughout the next eighteen months. God answered our prayers in early 2021 as two new teams arrived in Kenya to work with both street boys and street girls. Praise the Lord. Now we are still looking for two or more teams to enter the field in 2022. With this potential, I am excited the Father is enabling me to be a part of these exciting times, and I want to be there to see people reached for Christ.

2019 was a year of transition for me, as I began seeking God’s direction and leading from the Holy Spirit. The Lord called me to an opportunity in April of 2019 to become the Executive Director of ACM International. I am thrilled that God has called me to this position and am excited to be a part of what God is doing through this organization and its influence around the world.

ACM International (formally known as the African Christian Mission) celebrates a rich history of announcing true LIFE, available only through Jesus Christ. Our incredible journey began in the heart of Central Africa (the Democratic Republic of Congo) more than 75 years ago. True to our heritage, we value highly the power that is released when disciples of Christ are unified in their strategic efforts.

In my role as Executive Director and in support of our vision of being Teams of Jesus disciples, forming kingdom churches, and building a global community, I am responsible for:

  • Providing tools, training, and resources necessary to fulfill ACMI’s vision/mission;
  • The spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial health of missionaries;
  • Increasing awareness of ACMI nationally, inviting new team members, and expanding into new fields.

Fortunately, I’ve been able to see the work in the various fields, with one exception, prior to the pandemic and know the work is vitally important to reaching people for Christ. Certainly 2020 was a challenging year, but in the midst of the chaos, I witnessed God working.

I have a goal of three, or possibly more, new missionary teams being trained and ready to go to the field each year. I also anticipate exploring new fields, asking the Father to draw new missionaries to us. With this potential, I am excited the Lord is enabling me to be a part of these exciting times, and I want to be there to see people reached for Christ.

Prior to assuming the role of Executive Director, I was active in missions in the local church and served as an ACMI Trustee for 10 years.  In addition, I bring 20 years of experience in located ministry as a Senior, Executive and Discipleship Minister. I also have over 25 years of experience in business and manufacturing.

My educational background includes a BA in Accounting from Akron University and an MA in New Testament & Preaching from Johnson University.  I am blessed to be married to Cheri and have two grown children and five grandchildren.

I would love to have you on my team as a prayer partner or your financial support for our work.
