Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

We believe in the Bible, the Holy Scriptures, as God’s infallible Word, totally and divinely inspired, free from all errors in its original texts and as the sublime authority in matters of faith and conduct. II Tim. 3:16-17; John 10:35; Romans 15:4.

We believe in one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit through all eternity. Eph. 4:4-6; Mark 12:29-30; I Cor. 8:6.

We believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord, God manifested in the flesh, born of a virgin; in His humanity free from sin, in His divine miracles, in His atoning and redemptive death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, in His work as mediator, and in His personal return in power and glory to establish His eternal Kingdom. I Tim. 2:5; Matt. 1:30-35; John 1:14; Phil. 2:5-11; II Cor. 5:20-21; Mark 13:26-27.

We believe that all men are sinners, lost and in need of salvation. Salvation is not by works but by repentance and believing in the redemptive work of the blood of Jesus Christ followed by obedience in baptism by immersion. The believers must remain faithful to the teachings of the New Testament. I Cor. 15:1-4; Rom. 3:23-24; Eph. 2:8-9; Mark 16:16-17; Rom. 6:3-4.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who, dwelling in us, gives us the power to serve Jesus Christ, be His witness and live a holy life. Rom 6:12-13; John 14:26; John 16:13.

We believe it is important to remember the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ by actively participating in Communion (the Lord’s Supper). Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

We believe in the true unity of all born-again believers, forming the universal Church, the body of Christ. John 17:20-22; Eph. 4:1-6; Eph. 1:22-23.

We believe in the resurrection of all people. Those who are saved will rise to eternal life with Christ. Those who are lost to eternal judgment without Christ. Acts 17:31; Rev. 20:12-13.
