Business as Mission

BAM is broadly defined as a for-profit commercial business venture that is Christian led, intentionally devoted to being used as an instrument of God’s mission (missio Dei) to the world, and is operated in a crosscultural environment.¹

Jesus taught us to pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” The Kingdom of God is expressed in a very tangible way when followers of Jesus live out the teachings of Jesus as they engage in doing real business in the marketplace. That is our desire for North Africa—the coming of the Kingdom of God through God-glorifying business! That is what we, by the grace of God, will strive to live out on a daily basis. So that God will be worshiped, we will do business and we will do business well. So that the Kingdom of God is expressed, we will create jobs for people, provide valuable and beneficial products and services to the community and use our profits to facilitate transformational development. As we do this, we will also pray, cultivate relationships, sow and water seeds, until disciples—fellowships of Muslim-background believers—are worshiping and multiplying across North Africa.

Is God calling you to share the hope that is in you with Muslims? Are you passionate about business? There are a myriad of ways that you could fit in! We would love to start a conversation with you. The first step is to fill out an interest form.
